- 2 oz Buffalo Trace Bourbon
- 1/2 oz Campari
- 1/2 oz Noilly Prat Sweet Vermouth
- 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
- 1 grapefruit twist
Muddle 1 rosemary sprig lightly in a mixing glass. Add all ingredients except the other rosemary sprig and the grapefruit twist. Shake with ice. Double strain into an old fashioned glass on the rocks, or even better one giant ice cube. Garnish with a rosemary sprig and grapefruit twist.
This is actually a recipe my brother came up with and I helped master. A perfect cocktail to enjoy at home after a meal. If you like bitter drinks, you’ll like this one. This cocktail shares similar flavors of the classic Negroni.
Thank you so much for this recipe. I was looking for more info on Campari and came across it… This is so good I don’t want to lose the recipe!
Enjoy Austin! Cheers.
Isn’t this name taken by the whiskey version of the “Caucasian”.
That is not the original sneaky pete. When we we young the sneaky Pete was the cheap mad dog 20 20 wine and cheap beer. That was the sneaky Pete from the old day. 1/2 wine and 1/2 beer, best sneaky Pete you will drink and it gets you drunk quick.
