- 1 oz gin
- 1 oz Campari
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
- 1 orange twist
In a mixing glass stir all ingredients except the orange twist over ice. This drink can be served up in a chilled cocktail glass or on the rocks in an old-fashioned glass. The garnish also can be a fresh orange twist or try flaming an orange peel over the cocktail.
The classic recipe calls for equal parts. I’ve also found that this ratio works well too.
- 2 oz gin
- 3/4 oz sweet vermouth
- 3/4 oz Campari
Your post about Negronis and Campari and Carpano Antica inspired me to do a writeup and video on how to make a Negroni. Thanks for the education and the inspiration. http://itsjust.in/go_negroni
One of the ingredients I consider essential to a good Negronin is a dash of orange bitters. It helps to blend the flavors well.
